Preschool & Children’s Graded Choir Program

At First Baptist Church we believe that the importance of a preschool and children’s graded choir program cannot be overstated. Cindy Petway, our Children’s Choir Coordinator, along with a most talented group of volunteers lead this school-year based ministry of our church. Graded choirs meet each Wednesday evening of the school year at 5:30 p.m. Here is a listing of the choirs that are available for your children:

 

Over 100 children are enrolled and participate in these choirs. These choirs often lead our congregation in worship and perform during our Advent season and on Children’s Day at First Baptist as well. Our Young Musicians choir presents an annual choral program at the conclusion of our graded choir year.

 

This graded choir program focuses on our core belief that much of the theology that we learn comes through the music that we sing. Scripture and hymn memorization is an important part of this unique program. And, our children learn a great deal about how to sing and how to read music. What a great way to introduce your child to the important matters of faith that are such a vital part of their Christian experience!
