National Missions Partnerships

As needs around our state and nation arise, First Baptist Church is quick to answer the call to serve. Whether it is disaster relief provided for natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, or floods by sending teams to assist with rebuilding efforts or simply buying gift cards for food, clothing, or building supplies, First Baptist has responded to each and every call for assistance. 

 

Through the years, First Baptist Church has also partnered with churches, associations, and agencies around our country. Most recently, First Baptist Church assisted Bland County Ministries in Bland Country, Virginia. Tangible resources of food, clothing, and furniture were collected in Dalton, packed, and delivered to the ministry site.

 

In 2010, First Baptist Church began a special ministry to families with the establishment of a Family Mission Trip. That first trip was to the Charleston, South Carolina area where neighborhood events were conducted along with helpful construction projects in those neighborhoods. In 2011, families went to the Asheville, North Carolina area to work with the North Carolina Baptist Children’s Home in that area. 

 

With mission groups working in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Massachusetts, Ohio, Montana, New York, Illinois, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Michigan, and the Carolinas through the years, First Baptist Church can truly say that when the call is sent out in the United States for service and ministry, the missional heart of our church responds!
