Recreation

The Recreation Ministry at First Baptist Church provides opportunities for Christian fellowship for children and adults through sports, socials, fitness, trips and fellowships. Our Family Life Center provides a gymnasium and walking track which is open Monday – Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm and Saturdays during the winter.

FIRST KIDS SOCCER
First Kids is a ministry of First Baptist and Grace Presbyterian Church designed to provide a fun, Christian based, nurturing environment for young children to learn and experience soccer in a variety of ways. The under 6 and under 8 leagues play and practice at the First Baptist Church gym on an artificial turf field and the under 10, under 12 and older leagues play and practice at the Grace Presbyterian field.
 
  
FIRST KIDS BASKETBALL
Registration for children’s basketball, which is for boys and girls in grades 1-6, begins October 1. Practices start after Thanksgiving at First Baptist, First United Methodist and First Presbyterian gyms, and the games are on Saturdays in January and February at these three gyms. 
The leagues offered are:
 
1st & 2nd Grade Girls                    1st & 2nd Grade Boys
3rd & 4th Grade Girls                     3rd & 4th Grade Boys
5th & 6th Grade Co-Ed 
 
 
  LADIES AEROBICS 
A ladies exercise class meets in the gym on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30-9:30 am. $1 per session.
