Sanctuary Choir

At the heart of our worship and music ministry is our Sanctuary Choir. This talented group leads us in worship each week. Our Sanctuary Choir is comprised of 80 plus individuals who are committed to the core value of worship at First Baptist. This choir practices each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Not only does this choir lead in worship each week, they also present special programs as a part of the Advent and Lenten seasons and throughout the year.

 

This talented choir’s repertoire includes such classics as Handel’s Messiah, Brahms’ Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Hymn of Praise, and the Vivaldi Gloria. The choir’s repertoire includes Rutter’s Gloria, as well as classical, traditional, and contemporary anthems.

This choir has performed at Carnegie Hall and at the International Church Music Festival in Switzerland.
