MEDICAL MISSION MINISTRY TEAM
The Medical Mission Team evaluates, plans, and/or coordinates all FBCD medical mission projects. These may be local, regional, international short-term or long-term projects. The team works "hand in hand" with other teams as needed to plan our part in joint projects. The team works especially close with the Mission Trip Team for medical mission trips outside of local areas.

CONSTRUCTION MINISTRY TEAM
The Construction Team is composed of those members of our church with interests and/or skills in construction and repair with a heart for helping others. The team will be available to assist church members unable to secure needed services for themselves. The team will also work in coordination with the Mission Trips Team to organize constructions teams that might assist other churches or groups outside our fellowship. The team specializes in handicapped ramp building.

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY TEAM
The Helping Hands Team is responsible for the coordination and meeting of certain hands-on needs in the congregation and community. Sub-teams of the Helping Hands Team include: Bereavement meals—meals following funerals, to be provided in the church Fellowship Hall; Shopping—Grocery or other essential item shopping; Transportation—Car rides to and from various locations, i.e. doctor visits.

BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY TEAM

Guidelines are be established as to what kind of assistance will be provided, how much assistance will be provided, how a person applies/qualifies for assistance, and follow-up strategies to assess the effectiveness of the assistance. This team works closely with other local churches and community benevolent ministries. This team also works closely with local school systems to provide support and assistance as requested.

BACK TO THE BOOK MINISTRY TEAM
The Back to the Book Ministry Team plans and coordinates our annual Back to the Book event for children in Dalton/Whitfield County. This team also oversees the purchasing of all materials and supplies that are disbursed on the day of the event. The team enlists all volunteers to support the event as well. The team leadership also works closely with other interested ministry partners such as the Caring with Coats leaders and the WMU for socks and underwear distribution.

DISASTER RELIEF TEAM
This new team is being formed to coordinate the response of First Baptist Church with relation to state, national, and international man-made and natural disasters. The team is responsible for training FBCD members in providing such relief and determining our church's protocols for response.
